During the first class, attendees are given a recommended reading list for ongoing dream work. Suggestions about journal keeping, ways to remember dreams and other tools for dreamwork are also covered in the first class. If time allows, someone’s recent dream is selected and discussed, to give an example of how we will proceed during the class.
In every class we will begin and end with a breathing and relaxation exercise, to enter into a calm frame of mind, away from the cares of the day. Then everyone will check in briefly, talking about his or her week so far.
During the two hours of the class we work on everyone’s dreams. We focus on dreams that have occurred during the previous week, discussing the symbols contained in them, the structure of the dreams and finding the meaning of the dreams. Everything that is discussed in dreamwork is confidential.
By the end of the session the attendees will have the knowledge and experience to be able to work with confidence on their dreams.
